Reflexology
“The most relaxing hour I’ve ever experienced.”
This is the most common feedback I receive after a relexology session.
While Personal Training works you hard, reflexology soothes the body and opens it to healing using the systematic application of pressure to points on the head, hands, and feet.
Combining ancient and modern healing techniques
The channel system of reflexology is similar to the meridian theory of acupressure and most modern systems of reflexology combine the wisdom of both systems.
Energy flows through the body along well-defined ‘channels’ or pathways. When stress or illness cause a blockage in one of these pathways, other areas along the pathway suffer as well.
Reflexology stimulates the body to heal itself and release blockages
The feet are extremely important in reflexology, the theory being that there are reflex points for each part of the body and organ located in the feet. A skilled practitioner may be able to sense blockages and help to release them while working on the feet.
90 minutes of pure bliss
Each session begins with a gentle head massage. This signals the body that it is time to relax. People often fall asleep during the treatment, deepening the healing experience.
From the head, the practitioner begins on the feet, systematically treating every area of each foot, removing blockages through pressure and, sometimes, sound.
Ticklish feet are generally not a problem. As the body relaxes, the ticklish anxiety disappears.
The feet constitute the main part of the session. Once finished, the feet are moisturized and released and the hands are treated last.
A Reflexology session is approximately 90 minutes ($120).
Web Special: Buy a 10-week intensive and receive 10 sessions for $99 per session.
As a special treat for my Personal Training and Yoga clients, they may substitute a Reflexology session for one of their regular sessions on an occasional basis.
